Samba no Pé Basics Workshop

These workshops introduce the basics of Samba no Pé, including warm ups, positioning, basic steps, across-the-floor work and combos. No prior experience is necessary. Learn Brazil’s beautiful dance in a fun, relaxing class!

As a bonus, students joining on this date will get a preview of the Saturday Samba Choreography Series, which starts in October (see more further down on this page).

Brasil in Motion/Balance Studio 418 N 35th St. Seattle

In this series, you will learn a fun, sassy, and relaxed samba no pé choreography. You will also have the option to perform the piece in a group at our winter studio fundraiser!

All levels (including beginners) are welcome and students will have access to class recordings to practice.

We will learn new material in each class, and students have the option to drop into a single class or take the entire series for a discount. Please note you must be registered for the entire series to be eligible for the performance, even if you need to miss a class.

About the Studio

Unless otherwise specified, all classes are held at Balance Studio/Brasil in Motion.

The studio is easily accessible by public transit.

The studio is located inside a historic home and requires the use of stairs. Once you come up the front porch stairs, continue inside and up the stairs, and then past the glass door to access the studio. The studio has sprung dance floors. 

Parking

There is free street parking on our street (N 35th St.) but it fills up quickly. Please arrive early to secure parking!

If street parking is full on N 35th St., there is often more parking available on the surrounding streets to the south (N 34th/Canal St., Phinney Ave.)
