Raqs al Nujum

Raqs al Nujum (“Dance of the Stars” in Arabic) is an award-winning raqs sharqi (bellydance) troupe based in Seattle. We perform in local cultural events such as NW Folklife Festival as well as local bellydance festivals.

This troupe is intended for intermediate to advanced level dancers that enjoy performing in a group setting. If you care about presenting this dance with cultural integrity while still having a lot of fun, we might be a good fit for you!

We meet on Thursdays, 6:30-7:30pm, at Balance Studio/Brasil in Motion in Fremont, Seattle.

No audition is required to join, but potential members should attend several rehearsals to assess if our group is a good fit for your dance goals and needs. Members are expected to attend weekly rehearsals, so please note this is not a drop-in friendly opportunity.
